Cornbread

Soft, fluffy, and delicious.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F, spray baking dish with cooking spray if desired.
  2. Mix the milk and vinegar. Set aside.
  3. Mix flour, cornmeal, baking soda, and sugar in a mixing bowl with a whisk until well blended.
  4. Add the oil, well beaten eggs & soured milk to the dry ingredients. Mix just until blended with a spatula. The batter may be slightly lumpy.
  5. Pour and spread the batter into the greased baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for 22-26 minutes, or until the cornbread is a light golden brown color and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
